Meet Me
Evan
Hello, i am a photographer from Utah who shares a passion for the outdoors. I travel to national parks a couple times a year and allways bring my camera for the adventure. I love travelling to unique places and try to give a unique or rare perspective on nature. This is mostly a hobby but if you’d like to support me you can buy my prints in the shop! Regardless i appreciate you just being interested in my work, Hope you enjoy!
Where it began
I've lived in Utah my whole life. I've always been drawn toward the arts, but I could never find one that I was good at. Drawing was too hard, dancing was a for sure no, I didn't have a big range for singing, And guitar...Well, I was actually good at that but never could bring myself to practice and got bored of it quickly. This all changed once I took a photography class in 2020. At first it was very overwhelming, with lots of buttons, terms, and "rules". We were given Canon EOS Rebel T5i's to shoot on. Initially, I was just screwing around, but then I remembered seeing some macro photography online so I decided to try it out. It immediately clicked for me, granted I wasn't winning any awards but it was a start, but i could tell i found something i was good at. Soon enough I was in the bushes trying to photograph a bee without being stung (I was unsuccessful) while my classmates were taking photos of the mountains or buildings. The best part of this was that my teacher allowed me to tailor my photography assignments to macro photos. He actively gave me tips and allowed me to use more and more of his personal equipment so I could get better shots. Eventually, he made the Canon EOS 6D MK-II and the Canon EOS R6 my main cameras in the class. Even let me take them home so I could do photography trips. He is likely the biggest reason I enjoy photography as much as I do. Now i shoot on my own EOS 6D MKII and the EOS R6 MKIII with a couple lenses.
Some early photos of mine
Here is some of my early work just so you can see the development i’ve had with photography. All of these got turned in for school assignments. if you know what your looking for you can even see me practicing some of the “rules” of composition. I’m not the worlds greatest photographer by any means, but i wish more photographers would show their early work, in the beginning its hard not to compare your 3 month of experience to someone’s 20 years. so here is my 3 months of experience.
